Robin is the mother of Valenova Foundation.  Donating the money to set up the foundation, she participated in the funding of many projects as well.

After establishing the Valenova Scholarship, she and her friend Debbie McCoy put two more students through university.  These students have graduated and now have good jobs and are helping their families. They supported Agnel Ligohalimu to go to Mzumbe University where he was awarded a Bachelor’s degree. Agnel was raised by a single mother who could not afford to send him to University.

Now Agnel has a very good job working as a Human Resource Officer and supports his family. After Agnel completed his studies, Robin contacted Sebard asking that the next scholarship she was to sponsor was to go to a woman. Therefore, the board member chose Pulkeria William who was struggling to get funding to join University. She did very well in Secondary school and passed with good grades, but there was no one to help. Robin and Debbie started sponsoring Pulkeria for three years and now she has a very good job and is helping her family.

Robin and her friends have responded to many crises by personally donating money,
She first donated money to distribute corn after floods, as the Lihami villagers’ farms were flooded, and all the crops were flashed away. Many families lacked food. When asked for help, Robin helped very quickly and sent funds to buy corn to be distributed to the people who needed help.

She donated funds for medical needs. A man was attached by a crocodile and lost his leg when it was bitten off.  He could no longer work to support his family.  He needed an artificial leg so he could return to farming. He came to Valenova Foundation office to request help.  We contacted Robin and she provided the money to buy the artificial leg. He is now working again supporting his family.

Robin coordinated raising funds to purchase books and computers after a robbery at the Valenova Foundation Study Hall.  Robin and her Canadian friends raised enough money to replace the books and computers that were stolen and to put bars on the windows to prevent another robbery.
